The final days of pregnancy are charged with the high vibration energies of anticipation, fear, and excitement. It can be overwhelming and launch women into spontaneous bursts of housecleaning mania a.k.a. nesting. I advise women to breathe in the experience of these final days of pregnancy. Feel the excitement but then bring it into your power base- your womb.
The uterus will soon perform its loftiest task – birthing a newborn baby. So, why not, relax and breathe into your womb. Direct all your excitement, love, and anticipation (go ahead and leave the fear out) into your belly and feel the amazing power you possess.
Are there tools you can use to heighten your strength? Inspirational music, essential oils, favorite pillows and blankets, pertinent quotes. Create a small bag of items that help you tap into your feminine strength. This is your birth and you get to choose how you receive it? Will you fight it? Will you embrace it? Will you encourage it? Will you fear it? Likely you will cycle through these and many other emotions throughout labor and birth.
Birth is a disruption. Disruption is neither good nor bad. But how we choose to handle it will greatly determine the outcome. It is normal to encounter self-doubt, anger, and fear when going through a disruption. The key is –can you identify when these energies are disrupting your flow? And then . . . . choose something different.
During the ninth month of all 3 of my pregnancies, I spent a lot of time in the bath or water. Water reminds us to flow. Water heals. Water teaches us the power of being.
Being true to yourself is a blessing you can begin giving your child from the moment of conception to childbirth and beyond. Your child's birth will be the greatest manifestation of you in the fullness of your being. Be present to the unique and amazing woman you are and when fear and doubt enter in . . . love yourself more. And know that you are on the right path, birthing just the way you need to.
How will you stand in your strength during your pregnancy and birth? What magnifies your power? Develop a daily practice that connects you to your feminine power. Share your ideas for others to see.
